Goodbye Eva

Tonight we officially said Goodbye to Eva Smith who has been at the club since a baby due to big sister starting before her. She was an amazing gymnast and achieved silver at an international Teamgym event and represented Shetland at the Island Games in the aisle of Man. Eva we will miss you and please come visit!

Gymnasts ready to present their routines!

Our gymnasts have been working hard on their routines but unfortunately we can’t invite you to our club display this year. Keiba clubb will video all the performances instead and DVD’s will be available to order soon but in the meantime enjoy the sneak peek:

A huge thank you to Sophie Grant who choreographed and organised pretty much all the routines except the Teamgym ones. First time she has taken on a display challenge. Hopefully it won’t be the last 😂

Goodbye May

A few tears shed tonight as May Young decided to hang up her leotard and concentrate on getting good exam results. May has spent more than half her life as a member of our club, competing south from the age of 8, attending numerous 2 piece comps, Gymfest, our first ever Island Games in Wales and an International Teamgym comp gaining a silver medal as well as our first ever 4 piece competition on the mainland. She has been a real pleasure to coach for all these years and being a friend to all gymnasts in the club.
May you will be a real miss but please come and check in often (she will be helping at our comp) and say hi.
We are so proud of all you have achieved and can’t wait to see what you do next!

Club Annual Competition 2019

Our club annual competition will take place on the 1st of December 2019 at the Clickimin Leisure Complex, main hall.

We have individual medals for floor and vault for both boys and girls in each age group as well as overall medals plus team medals.
The cost for entry is £5 to help cover the hall hire and cost of the medals. Please put £5 in an envelope with your childs name on it and bring it to class.
